Who am I

I am Mio, a woman of 50+ years young, living in Haagse Beemden in Breda, together with my 2 Portuguese cat girls Luna and Mel. I have a permanent job in logistics and work as a volunteer at the cat shelter of Adapo in Olhão (and previously at the animal shelter in Breda in the cat department). In my free time I keep myself busy with my cats, reading, cooking and dancing. In addition, I study Portuguese and cat behavior therapy.

During the winter months my cats and I can be found in the Algarve, during the other months in Breda.

Cat sitter

As my own cats got older, I started looking for information to help them better. So I started taking courses to give them a better life. I learned a lot during those courses and I am still learning.

I wanted to do this for other cats and encourage their owners to give their cats a better life. I then started the Expert cat care course at the KGA, because if you look after other people's cats, you have to know what you are doing.

With the earnings I pay for new courses and for study materials, toys and other items that I use during the babysitting period, I give donations to organizations or people who are committed to stray cats, etc.
